Song of God - Bhagavad Gita

This is actually the holy preaching made by Lord Krishna when King Arjuna was reluctant to fight against his own kith and clan. This divine discourse took place in the battlefield of Kurukshetra, a place in modern Harayana State, India.

This spiritual discourse is a part of the Hindu epic Mahabharata, and divided into 18 Chapters having 700 verses.

Before learning "What is Bhagavad Gita" and "What is its relevance to our modern life and the Universe", let us hear what the great people have said about Bhagavad Gita.

"Here is the most comprehensive statement of perennial philosophy. If you want a book which assists humanity in striving for it, its eternal, here is the book, the most systematic statement of spiritual evolution of enduring value to mankind... The most beautiful,  perhaps the only true philosophical song existing in any known tongue"

                           -  Aldous Huxley

So have I read this wonderful and spirit-thrilling speech,
By Krishna and Prince Arjun held, discoursing each with each,
So have I writ its wisdom here,-its mystery,
For England: O our India! as dear to me as She!

                          - Sir Edwin Arnold, Author of "Bhagvad Gita, The Song Celestial"

"When I read the Bhagavad Gita and reflect about how God created this universe everything else seems so superfluous."

                          - Albert Einstein
"The Bhagavad Gita has a profound influence on the spirit of mankind by its devotion to God which is manifested by actions."
                          - Dr. Albert Schweizer
"In the morning I bathe my intellect in the stupendous and cosmogonal philosophy of the Bhagavad Gita, in comparison with which our modern world and its literature seems puny and trivial."
                          - Henry David Thoreau
"The marvel of the Bhagavad Gita is its truly beautiful revelation of life’s wisdom which enables philosophy to blossom into religion."
                          - Herman Hesse
"The Bhagavad Gita calls on humanity to dedicate body, mind, and soul to pure duty, and not to become mental voluptuaries at the mercy of random desires and undisciplined impulses."
"When doubts haunt me, when disappointments stare me in the face, and I see not one ray of hope on the horizon, I turn to Bhagavad Gita and find a verse to comfort me; and I immediately begin to smile in the midst of overwhelming sorrow. Those who meditate on the Gita will derive fresh joy and new meanings from it every day."
                            - Mahatma Gandhi

Translation of Important Stanzas, having immense value to Human life, from this holy book 'BhagvadGita' are published here.

By God's grace, I have made best efforts based on the Tamil translation of the original book to bring out the vital aspects of the Holy Book of Hindus. Hope, if the readers find useful to them, I will be blessed to have made a small and fruitful effort in narrating the divine scripture.
